Gluten exposure can be a very serious matter. From JAMA Neurology (2006):

“A possible association exists between progressive cognitive impairment and celiac disease, given the temporal relationship and the relatively high frequency of ataxia and peripheral neuropathy, more commonly associated with celiac disease.”

The potential cognitive and peripheral neurological problems associated with gluten exposure for some individuals are slowly beginning to be better understood. Having personally suffered from significant challenges, I am hoping to educate others in order to help them prevent or offset their risk of being misdiagnosed, misunderstood, or having to suffer unnecessarily.
