For some of us, gluten is only the beginning…

When you live with food sensitivities or live with someone who does, you know how hard it can be to enjoy many of the simple pleasures in life. Being able to order up a pizza is one of them. When you need to avoid gluten, that can be hard enough, but what about when you have multiple food sensitivities? It can sometimes feel impossible—not just for the person with the sensitivities, but for those who love them and want their loved one(s) to feel included as well.

As writer Nicki Porter writes in this ‘Beyond GF’ feature in Gluten-Free Living Magazine (p. 41):

“Many gluten-free families don’t have the luxury of simply picking up a phone and ordering a pizza. and if another dietary restriction is added in, the odds of finding a gluten-free and dairy-, soy- or corn-free pizza parlor are even slimmer. Does that mean family pizza night is off the table?

Absolutely not.”

So, you can imagine how happy I was to be invited to have YUM’s Polenta Pizza (recipe on page 190 in YUM) as a featured recipe in the April 2016 issue of Gluten-Free Living Magazine. What an honour this is indeed!
